There's a discussion on io9 about the future of bookshelves and it made me wonder about the books that only we have, our personal books: our photo albums, our diaries, our scrapbooks, etc. We would still need someplace to put those, but I wonder how many of you out there still keep analog journals or anything like that, and why you still do.

To kick off the conversation, I keep a journal for "new" ideas, one for brainstorming, and I have a dedicated hardcover for vacation and when I'm out (it's a combination sketchbook, journal, autograph book... whatever I need paper for). I also have a pile of waiting empty books, so I'll be set for a long time.
